I'm so glad that your life brought you here to this song. If you like my content, please consider to follow me to get notified for my future releases. Enough of that now. Here is some background information about the song:

I love experimenting with different scales. For Dancing Cyborgs I tried the Dorian scale to get a kind of melancholic and nostalgic vibe. Therefore I loaded Vital and with a basic saw lead into a new channel. To check if I selected the right channel to play with my MIDI keyboard I was just pressing some random keys. That’s already the story behind the intro melody - I wrote it by accident. Then I decided to actually leave the basic saw lead as it was and to just add some drums and a catchy bass line for the intro. This song is what I refer to as a happy accident. A situation like this is why I love to play the keyboard or other instruments while writing - most definitely you’ll play a wrong note while playing. Mostly it will sound bad but from time to time you get the best melody you’ve ever wrote. So suddenly the decision to use the Dorian scale to write a melancholic piece turned out to be me writing the happiest song that I ever wrote. Actually this describes best what music means to me personally: having fun while experimenting until something sounds nice.
