Escaping the Void is more or less the state I was in when writing this song. I just came from a period in life where things just didn't go my way. I didn't even have the inspiration to write new music for weeks. So after doing some mental health exercises such as journaling and running, I finally came to a point where I realized that I'm feeling much better. Actually, running helped me a lot. In my mind I was literally running away - or escaping - the void that I saw myself in. This thought inspired me to finally get into music again and to try to put my thoughts into a song. "Escaping the Void" is the result. Right now, I'm still feeling way better and I have to tell you that journaling and running actually help me a lot still. I force myself to write dairy every day and go for a run at least for times a week. So if you're struggling with your mental health at the moment, go try these things! I wish you all the best!
