I'm so glad that your life brought you here to this song. If you like my content, please consider to hit the like button or to follow me. Enough of that now. Here is some background information about the song:

While I was searching for a new song to learn on the guitar I stumbled upon a guitar melody using fast triplets. I really liked the idea and tried to implement this idea into a Synthwave song. I feel like these fast triplets create a very interesting groove. I decided to underlay this groove with the bass. Then I added the classic mega saw keys with a tremolo and some drums and the song was set. Actually, The Gate was another song that was just laying on my hard drive as an unfinished projects for weeks. Just like most other artists, I have dozens of unfinished projects just laying on my hard drive. But instead of just finishing a song after I stopped working on it for the first time, I mostly just start a new one the next day. From time to time though I force myself to go through all of my unfinished projects to see if I can finish at least some of them. Just as Molecular Motion, The Gate was basically in it’s final state already when I reopened it.

Lastly, I want to say many, many thanks to everyone who supports me! It means everything to me to know that you people out there are listening to my music!
