In "We" I tried to digitally recreate the sound of a distorted electric guitar. This plays in a progressive rhythm to sounds of an earthquake and forms the basis of the song. I immediately thought of an end-of-the-world song with this sound. I was also working with whispers here. They form a kind of percussion sound in the background for me. For the athmosphere, I wrote a dystopian lyric and processed the vocals with a very spacey vocoder. The lead instrument in the drops is an ensemble of string instruments plucking the strings. I associate it a bit with the sound of the end of the world.
